Williams had a knee scope earlier in this summer and will still require a couple more weeks to recover, Anthony Slater of the San Jose Mercury News reports.
It was likely a clean-up procedure for Williams, who previously underwent knee surgery earlier in his career and has seen his development hindered by myriad health issues. The former first-round pick was able to earn a partially guaranteed deal from the Warriors this offseason following a strong season in the D-League, but the fact that he'll be sidelined for most of camp and the preseason schedule may quash his chances of making the opening night roster.
