Charlotte recalled Black from the G League's Greensboro Swarm on Saturday.
The Hornets will be shorthanded Sunday versus Toronto, as Cody Martin (ankle) and Seth Curry (ankle) will be sidelined along with LaMelo Ball (ankle) and Mark Williams (back). Black could see some rare rotation minutes as a result.
