Howard was assigned to the G League's Grand Rapids Gold on Friday, Mike Singer of The Denver Post reports.
Howard played three minutes Thursday, his first action since spraining his knee Dec. 15. The second-year guard is expected to get more consistent playing time during his stint in the G League.
