Iwundu was waived by the Hornets on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Iwundu arrived in Charlotte as part of the Devonte' Graham sign-and-trade earlier in the offseason, but he's failed to make the final roster as the regular season approaches. The 2017 second-round pick appeared in 41 games between Dallas and New Orleans last season.
