Prince (personal) isn't on the injury report for Sunday's game against the Pacers. Prince was unavailable Friday against the 76ers while tending to a personal matter, but coach Darvin Ham said after the game he expected the 30-year-old to return to action Sunday. It appears as though Prince will be able to do so, and he's averaged 7.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in 19.7 minutes per game over his last six appearances.... See More ... See Less

Lakers' Taurean Prince: Won't play Friday
Prince has been ruled out for Friday's game against the 76ers due to personal reasons, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports. Prince was a late addition to Friday's injury report, and he'll be unable to suit up while tending to a personal matter. It's not yet clear whether he'll be able to return to action Sunday against Indiana, but Cam Reddish and Rui Hachimura could see increased usage in Prince's absence.... See More ... See Less -
Lakers' Taurean Prince: Delivers in clutch win
Prince logged 14 points (5-7 FG, 4-6 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist and one block in 22 minutes during Monday's 116-104 win over the Thunder. Prince was efficient and played a critical role as a floor spacer as the Lakers knocked off one of the top teams in the Western Conference. Prince's emergence snapped an ugly streak of compiling just six points on 3-for-12 shooting in 46 minutes of action across his last three appearances. He is averaging 6.4 shots per game since the All-Star break, so his production almost entirely depends on his ability to get hot from beyond the arc.... See More ... See Less -
Lakers' Taurean Prince: Back to bench
Prince will return to a reserve role in Friday's game versus the Spurs, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports. Prince started in place of LeBron James on Thursday, but the latter is returning Friday. As a result, Prince should take on his usual reserve role off the bench.... See More ... See Less -
Lakers' Taurean Prince: Tallies double figures in start
Prince amassed 11 points (4-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 138-122 win over the Jazz. Prince earned the start Wednesday due to the absence of LeBron James (ankle), Cam Reddish (ankle) and Max Christie (ankle), ending as one of six Lakers players in double figures in scoring to go along with a trio of rebounds. Prince has been a valuable role player for Los Angeles in being able to shift between the bench and starting lineup this season, something that has been key for instances like Wednesday with a list of players inactive. Prince has reached double figures in scoring in two of his last four games and in four of his last seven appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Lakers' Taurean Prince: Starting at Jazz
Prince will start during Wednesday's game against the Jazz, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports. As expected, Prince will step into the starting lineup with the Lakers down LeBron James (ankle), Cam Reddish (ankle) and Max Christie (ankle). In 47 starts this season, Prince is averaging 9.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists. However, most of those starts came with the Lakers at or near full health.... See More ... See Less -
Lakers' Taurean Prince: Moves to bench
Prince will come off the bench for Saturday's game against the Knicks, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports. Prince had started in all 47 of his appearances coming into Saturday, but the Lakers are mixing it up with Rui Hachimura joining the first unit. Prince figures to be a key contributor for the bench unit with his floor spacing.... See More ... See Less -
Lakers' Taurean Prince: Starting against Clippers
Prince (knee) will start Tuesday's game against the Clippers, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports. Prince missed Sunday's contest against Portland due to left knee soreness, but it was mostly for maintenance. The veteran doesn't have any restrictions for Tuesday and will jump back into the starting lineup alongside Rui Hachimura and Anthony Davis in the frontcourt, with LeBron James (ankle) getting the night off.... Lakers' Taurean Prince: Not listed on injury report
Prince (knee) isn't on the Lakers' injury report ahead of Tuesday's game against the Clippers, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports. Prince was held out of Sunday's action against Portland due to left knee soreness, but he appears ready to return Tuesday. This is welcome timing for the Lakers, and Prince will likely be asked to shoulder a heavier workload than usual with LeBron James (ankle) already ruled out.... See More ... See Less -
Lakers' Taurean Prince: Officially out Sunday
Prince (knee) will not play Sunday against Portland, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports. Prince will be sidelined due to left knee soreness, marking his first absence since Nov. 4. Jarred Vanderbilt and Rui Hachimura are primary candidates to fill the void, although it's unclear who will enter the starting lineup.... See More ... See Less -
Lakers' Taurean Prince: Questionable for Sunday
Prince is questionable for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers due to left knee soreness, Khobi Price of The Orange County Registerreports. In addition to Prince, LeBron James (ankle) and Anthony Davis (Achilles) are questionable, while Cam Reddish (knee) is probable. Prince has cooled off in January, posting averages of 8.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.8 three-pointers on 38.6 percent shooting from the field.... See More ... See Less -
Lakers' Taurean Prince: Starting after all
Prince will start Monday's game against the Thunder, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports. McMenamin initially reported that Jarred Vanderbilt would enter the starting five in place of Prince, but coach Darvin Ham later stated that he misheard McMenamin's question during his pre-game press conference and confirmed that Prince would remain in the starting lineup. Prince is averaging 9.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists through six January appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Lakers' Taurean Prince: Retreats to bench
Prince isn't starting Monday's game against the Thunder, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports. Prince will serve in a bench role for the first time this season, as the team has elected to roll with Jarred Vanderbilt at small forward Monday night. Head coach Darvin Ham noted in his pre-game presser that the Lakers will likely stick with this starting five for the "foreseeable future," per Khobi Price of The Orange County Register.... Lakers' Taurean Prince: Keeps producing on offense
Prince registered 15 points (5-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound, four assists, two blocks and two steals over 34 minutes during Sunday's 129-109 loss to New Orleans. Prince's role in the Lakers' offensive scheme is to be a floor spacer and three-point shooter, and he's been nothing short of excellent as such. Despite holding a secondary role behind stars like LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Prince has scored in double digits in five of his last seven appearances while averaging 12.2 points per game over his last 10 appearances. He's shooting 42.1 percent from three-point range in that 10-game stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Lakers' Taurean Prince: Drains five threes in loss Monday
Prince contributed 17 points (6-13 FG, 5-12 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists and one steal across 39 minutes during Monday's 126-115 loss to Boston. Prince has been excelling as a three-point menace for the Lakers, and he drained at least two threes for the ninth game in a row. He's shooting 47.2 percent from beyond the arc in that stretch, and while his fantasy upside is almost exclusively tied to what he can do as a shooter, he's making the most of his chances of late. Playing with LeBron James at point guard while opposing defenses plan for Anthony Davis should also open up shooting opportunities for Prince, particularly from the corner three, which has been his bread and butter of late.... Lakers' Taurean Prince: Scores 16 vs. Chicago
Prince closed with 16 points (5-10 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 124-108 loss to the Bulls. Prince was an inconsistent scorer over the first few weeks of the 2023-24 campaign, but he's been much more reliable since the start of December, scoring in double figures in six of his last eight appearances. During that time, he's averaged 12.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 32.1 minutes per game, all of which surpass his season-long averages. The 29-year-old profiled more as a streaming candidate earlier in the season, but he's had relatively sustained success this month.... See More ... See Less -
Lakers' Taurean Prince: Good to go Friday
Prince (knee) is available for Friday's game versus the Spurs, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports. Prince has been upgraded from questionable to available Friday despite dealing with left knee soreness. The 29-year-old forward is set to make his 20th straight start for the Lakers.... See More ... Lakers' Taurean Prince: Questionable for Friday
Prince is questionable for Friday's game against the Spurs due to left knee soreness, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports. Prince has been battling soreness in his left knee off and on since the beginning of November. He's still been playing heavy minutes, however, averaging 11.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 3.2 three-pointers in 30.0 minutes over his last six contests. We could see more of Cam Reddish and Rui Hachimura if Prince is unable to go against the Spurs.... See More ... See Less -
Lakers' Taurean Prince: Scores 15 in loss
Prince chipped in 15 points (5-6 FG, 5-6 3Pt), four rebounds and four assists across 37 minutes during Tuesday's 127-125 loss to Dallas. Prince has been inconsistent on the scoreboard for most of the season, but he posted 15 points for a second consecutive game and has now scored in double figures in three of his last four appearances. He's been efficient from beyond the arc recently, converting 58.3 percent of his three-point attempts over his last seven appearances. During that seven-game stretch, Prince has averaged 10.3 points and 3.1 rebounds in 28.6 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Lakers' Taurean Prince: Scores just two points
Prince totaled two points (1-11 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds and two assists across 24 minutes during Sunday's 105-104 win over the Rockets. Prince certainly wasn't shy with 11 shot attempts, so the Lakers are still giving him the green light. Prince's workload in November has been solid with 30.1 minutes per game in eight contests, but he's averaging just 7.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.8 three-pointers.... See More ...
