Phillips (foot) said Sunday that he's completed his rehab and feels 100 percent healthy, Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com reports. Phillips missed the Bulls' final 18 games with a right midfoot sprain, but he looks as though he'll be in store for a normal offseason. The rookie second-round pick appeared in 40 games for Chicago in 2023-24, averaging 2.2 points and 0.9 rebounds in 8.1 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less

Bulls' Julian Phillips: Won't play Friday
Phillips (foot) has been ruled out for Friday's Play-In Game against the Heat. Phillips continues to deal with a right mid foot sprain and will be unavailable as the Bulls attempt to secure the No. 8 seed Friday. Even if the Bulls advance to the first round of the playoffs, it seems unlikely that Phillips will be able to return.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Julian Phillips: Remains out
Phillips (foot) has been ruled out for Wednesday's Play-In Game against the Hawks. Phillips missed the final 16 games of the regular season due to a right midfoot sprain and doesn't have a timetable to return. Barring the Bulls making a surprise run in the postseason, Phillips' 2023-24 campaign is likely over.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Julian Phillips: Won't play Sunday
Phillips (foot) is out for Sunday's game versus the Knicks. Phillips hasn't played since March 13 due to a right mid-foot sprain and will remain out for the Bulls' regular-season finale Sunday. The Bulls haven't provided much of an indication that Phillips will be healthy in time for the team's Play-In Tournament game versus the Hawks on Wednesday.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Julian Phillips: Remains out indefinitely
Bulls head coach Billy Donovan said Friday that Phillips (foot) is still "in and out" of a walking boot and is without a timeline for a re-evaluation, Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. "He hasn't been on the court or done anything physical yet," Donovan said. "So it's hard to say whether he would be available, and when he is available, when that would even be until I can at least know that he's on the court." Phillips was diagnosed with the foot injury March 15 and missed his 10th straight game in Monday's loss to the Hawks on account of the issue. Donovan's comments suggest that Phillips' return to game action isn't imminent, and even if the rookie forward can ditch the boot for good within the next week, he would still require a ramp-up period to regain conditioning. Phillips hasn't been ruled out for the season, but a return for the Bulls' April 14 finale versus the Knicks would appear unlikely at this point.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Julian Phillips: Out indefinitely
The Bulls announced Friday that Phillips has been diagnosed with a right foot sprain and is out indefinitely. The Bulls didn't provide a return timetable, saying Phillips' status will be updated as appropriate, but given the rookie is in a walking boot, he'll likely be sidelined for at least a few weeks. Chicago's wings can't stay healthy, as Phillips joins Patrick Williams (foot) and Zach LaVine (foot) on the sidelines. Given all the injuries, Dalen Terry, Torrey Craig, Jevon Carter and Onuralp Bitim are candidates for a few extra minutes moving forward.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Julian Phillips: Won't play Thursday
Phillips (foot) won't suit up for Thursday's game against the Clippers, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports. Coby White (hip) will be joining Phillips on the sidelines Thursday, leaving Chicago very thin at point guard. Expect Ayo Dosunmu, Alex Caruso and Jevon Carter to get all the run they can handle, making all those guys reasonable targets in daily fantasy leagues. Phillips' next chance to play will come Saturday against the Wizards.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Julian Phillips: Deemed questionable Thursday
Phillips (foot) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus the Clippers. Phillips continues to deal with right foot soreness but was able to play through it Wednesday. However, Chicago could opt to play it cautiously on the second leg of a back-to-back Thursday.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Julian Phillips: Chips in 11 points
Phillips ended with 11 points (3-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds and two steals over 28 minutes during Monday's 127-92 loss to Dallas. Phillips contributed in the context of the blowout loss, although five of his points came in the first half, so it isn't as if Phillips strictly played during garbage time. Nonetheless, Chicago trailed for the entire contest, and Phillips has no fantasy credibility in standard leagues.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Julian Phillips: Logs 20 minutes in second straight
Phillips recorded nine points (3-4 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and one rebound across 20 minutes in Tuesday's 118-107 loss to the Raptors. The rookie second-round draft pick has been on the outside of Chicago's rotation for most of the season, but he cleared the 20-minute mark for the second game in a row Tuesday while Patrick Williams (foot) remained sidelined. Williams isn't scheduled to be re-evaluated for another two weeks and looks likely to remain out through the All-Star break, and Zach LaVine's (ankle) return may not be imminent either, so Phillips looks like he'll have an opportunity to continue playing meaningful minutes off the bench. Even so, Phillips' modest averages of 10.5 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.5 three-pointers, 0.5 assists and 0.5 blocks over the past two contests means he can largely be ignored outside of deeper leagues.... Bulls' Julian Phillips: Recalled Sunday
Chicago recalled Phillips from the G League's Windy City Bulls on Saturday. Phillips was sent to the G League on Saturday and played 34 minutes during Windy City's 130-114 win over Stockton, posting 30 points (8-13 FG), eight rebounds, one assist and one steal. Phillips has made 20 NBA appearances this season, but he's played double-digit minutes just three times.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Julian Phillips: Back to NBA
Chicago recalled Phillips from the G League's Windy City Bulls on Friday, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports. Phillips was assigned and recalled on the same day, suggesting he got a practice in with Windy City. With Chicago near full strength, Phillips shouldn't see meaningful playing time.... See More ... Bulls' Julian Phillips: Sated for debut
Phillips (not injury related) will play in Saturday's game against the Grizzlies, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports. Phillips missed the Bulls' Summer League opener Friday due to ongoing contract negotiations. However, the two sides appear to have come to terms on a deal, so Phillips will be available for Saturday's tilt and presumably the rest of Summer League.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Julian Phillips: Won't play Friday
Phillips hasn't signed a contract yet, so he won't be available for Friday's Summer League game against against the Raptors, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports. Phillips was the No. 35 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, but he's still negotiating his first pro contract. It's unclear when the two sides will get a deal done, but the Bulls' Summer League squad plays again Saturday versus the Grizzlies.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Julian Phillips: Selected 35th by Bulls
Phillips was drafted 35th overall by the Wizards in the 2023 NBA Draft and was subsequently traded to the Bulls. A 6-foot-8 forward out of Tennessee, Phillips had a sizable role as a freshman and put up 8.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.5 blocks, 0.6 steals and 0.3 three-pointers in 24.1 minutes per game. His athleticism will be his calling card, and he projects to be a solid defender at the NBA level. The Bulls could certainly use some depth at forward, so Phillips does have a path to playing time behind Patrick Williams, with Derrick Jones Jr. and Javonte Green hitting free agency....
