The Cardinals waived Patton on Saturday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Patton averaged 39.5 snaps over 13 games last season with the Chargers, but he didn't produce much with just six receptions for 56 yards on 17 targets. He was a long shot with Arizona due to its deep receiver room, so he'll seek a depth role elsewhere.
