Long (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Long failed to practice a day earlier, so his limited involvement Thursday offers more optimism that he'll able to suit up in the season opener Sunday against the Falcons. Long will move over to the left guard spot in 2017 after playing right guard throughout the 2016 campaign.
