Howard signed with the Buccaneers on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

After a successful campaign in the USFL with Philadelphia, Howard will help fill Tampa Bay's hole at tight end. With the Buccaneer's departure of O.J. Howard and the retirement of Rob Gronkowski, Cameron Brate and recent signee Kyle Rudolph will likely share starter's reps. Consequently, expect Howard to try and carve out a depth role behind the veteran duo.
