Bortles was named the starting quarterback over Chad Henne because of his ability to extend plays, John Oehser of Jaguars' official site reports.
Bortles' quarterback play didn't generate much optimism during the preseason, but his mobility edge over Henne won out. That mobility will be put to the test Sunday when the Jaguars face a dangerous Texans pass rush that includes J.J. Watt, Whitney Mercilus and Jadeveon Clowney.
