Simmons (undisclosed) was placed on the Cardinals' practice squad injured list Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Simmons will be forced to sit out the next four weeks. Once healthy, Simmons will be eligible to return to practice and continue trying to earn a spot on the 53-man roster.
