The Steelers designated Hassenauer (pectoral) to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Dale Lolley of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.
Hassenauer suffered a torn pectoral against the Chargers in Week 11 and has been on injured reserve since. After returning to practice Wednesday, the 26-year-old offensive lineman will have 21 days to be added to the active roster. If he does return, he will likely slide back into his usual role as a backup interior lineman.
