Jones failed to complete his only pass attempt in the Steelers' 30-15 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
Jones played just one series in place of Ben Roethlisberger (knee), but will likely be the starter in Week 7 against the Patriots, as Big Ben has been diagnosed with a torn MCL. In seven games last season, Jones completed 32 of 55 passes for 513 yards, with three touchdowns and four interceptions.
