Tynan was sent to AHL Colorado on Thursday.
The Avalanche are expected to get several forwards back for Saturday's outdoor game versus Vegas, so they're no longer in need of Tynan's services as an emergency option up front. The 28-year-old American has yet to appear in an NHL contest this season.
