Gersich signed a one-year, two-way contract with Washington on Saturday.
The deal is worth $750,000 annually at the NHL level, but Gersich only has three top-level contests under his belt, with the last one coming in 2017-18. Gersich recorded 14 points in 33 games with AHL Hersey this year and figures to continue playing there next season.
