Marody was waived Sunday, per Adam Kimelman of NHL.com.
Marody signed a two-way deal with Philadelphia this offseason after logging an assist in his lone game with Edmonton last season. The 25-year-old center will open the year with AHL Lehigh Valley if he passes through waivers unclaimed.
