Marody was waived by the Oilers on Sunday.
Marody was in competition for a bottom-six role in training camp, but it appears he'll begin 2021-22 with AHL Bakersfield. The 24-year-old racked up 36 points in 39 contests in the minors last year -- if he can continue to score regularly, he could eventually receive a call-up.
