Svechnikov scored a goal on three shots and added three hits in Monday's 4-2 win over the Canadiens.

Svechnikov entered Monday on a 10-game point drought and a 19-game goal slump, but he ended both with his game-winning tally in the third period. He received a look in the top six Monday with Mark Scheifele (upper body) and Blake Wheeler (upper body) both out of action. Svechnikov has seen that kind of role occasionally throughout the year, leading to him breaking out for 19 points, 74 shots, 91 hits, 38 PIM and a minus-3 rating through 64 appearances in his first full campaign.
