Nogier (lower body) is weeks away from returning to the lineup, according to coach Paul Maurice, Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet reports.
Nogier was going to have to impress during training camp to secure a spot on the 23-man roster for the season opener. With this extended injury absence, the Saskatchewan native figures to join AHL Manitoba once cleared to play but should be on the shortlist of potential call-ups.
