Gaudette was waived Sunday, per James Mirtle of The Athletic.
Gaudette was competing for a bottom-six role with Toronto. The 26-year-old winger scored four goals with eight assists in 50 games last season in Ottawa while logging 63 hits. If he clears waivers, Gaudette will begin the year in the AHL.
