Nutivaara (undisclosed) was activated from injured reserve and will play Friday against Detroit, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Nutivaara missed the first seven games of the year while stashed away on injured reserve. He'll return Friday in a bottom-pairing role next to Brandon Montour. The 27-year-old tallied 10 assists and 35 hits in 30 games with Florida last season.
