Belzile was called up from AHL Hartford on Wednesday.
Belzile leads Hartford with 37 points in 43 contests this season, but he hasn't been up with the big club yet. The 32-year-old had 14 points in 31 outings with the Canadiens last season, but it's unclear if he'll get a chance to play for the Rangers during this stint in the NHL.
