Aston-Reese had no points, two PIM and three hits in three contests with Detroit this season. With the Red Wings' campaign over, it makes sense for him to rejoin the minor-league squad. The 29-year-old forward has 14 goals, 29 points and 51 PIM in 59 outings with Grand Rapids.
