Aston-Reese was called up from AHL Grand Rapids on Wednesday.
Aston-Reese appeared in a game with the Red Wings on Dec. 11 in which he recorded two hits in 6:21 of ice time. The 29-year-old forward has 14 goals and 29 points in 59 outings with Grand Rapids in 2023-24.
