Rousek was assigned to AHL Rochester on Friday, per Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News.
Rousek has played only six games for the Sabres this season and hasn't recorded a point. However, this might just be a paper transaction to make Rousek eligible for the AHL playoffs, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him back with the big club ahead of Saturday's game versus Edmonton.
