Torres (knee) was placed on waivers Friday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
Torres suffered a setback from his recovery from a knee injury, so the purpose of his waiver placement may be to get him to AHL San Jose on a more permanent basis. It appears he needs the reps and practice, but then again, Torres has already been on a conditioning stint in the minors.
