SportsLine.com Network Tops Media Metrix Sports Rankings for August

(NASDAQ: SPLN), the leading global Internet sports media company and publisher of CBS SportsLine.com (http://cbs.sportsline.com), announced today that its network of sites ranked number one in unique visitors in the Media Metrix sports rankings for August. The SportsLine.com network reached more than 8.2 million unique visitors during the month. Additionally, SportsLine.com set an all-time single day traffic record, with approximately 110 million page views recorded on September 9, the opening day of the NFL season.

The SportsLine.com network's 8.2 million unique visitors in August 2001 represent an increase of 29% over the 6.4 million unique visitors in August 2000. According to Media Metrix, theSportsLine.com network reached 8.7% of all Internet users during August. SportsLine.com's network of Web sites includes its flagship Internet sports service, CBS SportsLine.com, as well as NFL.COM and PGATOUR.COM.

SportsLine.com also ranked 11th among the top 100 overall digital properties in time spent per user per month, as users spent an average of approximately 48 minutes on SportsLine.com during August, according to Media Metrix.

SportsLine.com's all-time single day traffic record of nearly 110 million page views is an increase of more than 65% over the approximately 66 million page views recorded on the opening day of the NFL season a year ago.
