CBS SportsLine's March Madness on Demand Scores with NCAA Hoops Fans
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, April 13, 2006 - Based on an Internet survey conducted by the CBS Entertainment Panel* during the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship, CBS SportsLine's March Madness on Demand (MMOD) scored high marks with NCAA Basketball fans in 2006.
The following results came from a total of 993 respondents:
22% of all respondents were aware that March Madness on Demand was available this year.
Of those aware of MMOD, 51% heard about it by watching sports programming on their local CBS station, 24% from a friend or acquaintance.
13% of all respondents used MMOD to watch NCAA Tournament games in 2006.
Of those that used MMOD, 50% used it between 1-4 hours, 36% used it for five or more hours.
Of those that used MMOD, 60% rated the experience of watching NCAA Tournament games via MMOD as very good or excellent.
Of those that used MMOD, 75% of them used it at home, 57% of them used it at work.
*The CBS Entertainment Panel consists of over 20,000 nationwide respondents who registered to participate in periodic surveys on television and other entertainment topics after participating in a program test at CBS's testing facility in Las Vegas.
