The Angels optioned pitchers Dane De La Rosa and pitcher Matt Shoemaker to Triple-A Salt Lake Sunday. They also recalled pitcher Jose Alvarez and selected the contract of pitcher Yoslan Herrera.
To make room on the 40-man roster for Herrera, the Angels moved pitcher Brian Moran (elbow) to the 60-day disabled list.
