PHOTOS: Jonny Gomes wearing stars and stripes blazer to White House
The Red Sox are visiting the White House on Tuesday, and yes, Jonny Gomes is wearing that ridiculous stars and stripes blazer.
As per tradition, the defending World Series champion Red Sox are visiting the White House and President Barack Obama today. They have a scheduled off-day in Baltimore and are making the short trip down to the nation's capitol.
Last week we heard the team was going to wear stars and stripes-themed blazers during the visit, though it was unclear if that was just a joke or something that would actually happen. I mean, it's the White House. Conservative, two-button suit, right? Wrong:

To be fair, only Jonny Gomes, purchaser of said blazers, is wearing it. Franchise icon David Ortiz and hot shot rookie Xander Bogaerts clean up rather nicely:
The ceremony at the White House is scheduled to begin at 11:30am ET.
