After a three-game night on Tuesday, the NBA schedule picked up in a major way on Wednesday night. Early on, we saw the Trae Young-led Atlanta Hawks overcome a 26-point deficit to defeat the Dallas Mavericks, 111-104. The Cleveland Cavaliers also remained winless at 0-4 as they fell to the Brooklyn Nets 102-86.

Kawhi Leonard exploded for 35 points as he led the Toronto Raptors to a resounding 112-105 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves while the Miami Heat blew out the New York Knicks 110-87, led by Hassan Whiteside's 22-point, 14-board night. 

The Utah Jazz outlasted the Houston Rockets, beating them in convincing fashion by a score of 100-89. Donovan Mitchell scored 20 first-half points, on his way to a 38-point, seven-assist performance for the night.

Meanwhile, LeBron James and Lance Stephenson led the Los Angeles Lakers to their first win of the season with a 131-113 blowout win over the Phoenix Suns. LeBron posted 19 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds while Lance Stephenson led the way with 23 points, eight boards and eight assists.

And to top it all off, Stephen Curry turned in a 51-point, 11-trey performance through just three quarters in a 144-122 win over the Washington Wizards. He finished the night 11-of-16 from three-point range and 15-of-24 from the field. For perspective on how impressive that is, it was his sixth performance of at least 11 three-pointers. There are only seven such performances by other NBA players in history.
