The New York Daily News reports Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose prefers Kevin Love to Carmelo Anthony joining the Bulls ... according to people in Kevin Love's camp?

Noah will be disappointed if it turns out that Anthony uses the Bulls merely to get Dolan to up the Knicks’ offer. But one of his teammates won’t be crushed. Derrick Rose hasn’t called Anthony once and isn’t expected to do any recruiting when the Bulls make their run at the Knicks’ top scorer in free agency.

According to sources close to Kevin Love, Rose’s preference is for the Bulls to work out a deal as soon as possible for Minnesota’s All-Star forward because he sees Love as more of a team player than Anthony. Chicago is in the mix with Golden State for Love, with Boston and Denver considered long shots. If it makes any difference to Melo, Rose has no plans to recruit Love, who is free next summer, either. But the Bulls already know whom he would really prefer to play with in the future.

via Bulls center Joakim Noah keeps calling, but Knicks star Carmelo Anthony's not answering . . . yet - NY Daily News.

So ... according to Kevin Love's camp, Rose, who has been a friend of Love's since they were teenagers, worked out with him in the offseason, and fits much better beside him, prefers Love to Carmelo Anthony?

There is all sorts of #breaking in this one, folks.

I mean, don't get me wrong, Love fits much better with Chicago than Anthony. He's a better passer, can work in the pick and pop, and doesn't need the ball in his hands for 15 seconds on the shot clock each time. The Bulls have maybe the best set of assets to offer the Wolves for Love including the No. 16 and No. 19 picks, Nikola Mirotic who is set to join the NBA next season, Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson, and Carlos Boozer's contract. Some combination of all of those elements would surely be better than the David-Lee-and-Klay-Thompson-or-the-pick-but-not-both offer the Warriors are dangling.

Did this leak come from the Love camp to try and push Love to Chicago and not Golden State or Houston? The Bulls have that better package, but have been quietly absent from most rumors about the potential trade of the Wolves star, while most of the attention has been centered around the Bulls' pursuit of Carmelo Anthony.

One way or the other, the trends definitely indicate the Bulls could pick up a major star this summer, something that hasn't happened a lot in franchise history.
