What you need to know about the Trail Blazers

Portland didn't have too much breathing room in its matchup with the Toronto Raptors on Monday, but it still walked away with a 118-113 win. Shooting guard CJ McCollum was the offensive standout of the game for the Trail Blazers, shooting 6-for-11 from downtown and finishing with 29 points and six dimes. Damian Lillard added 24 points while former Raptor, Norman Powell, chipped in with 12 points.

Both Lillard and Powell are listed as questionable but are expected to suit up seeing as they played on Monday. Lillard is having the worst season of his 10-year career as he's shooting career-lows in field-goal percentage (38.7), three-point percentage (27.9) and free throw percentage (84.4). But he is still helping out in other areas as his 8.1 assists per game is a career high.

What you need to know about the Bulls

Meanwhile, the Bulls didn't have too much trouble with the Los Angeles Lakers on the road on Monday as they won 121-103. Small forward DeMar DeRozan continued his habit of dropping crazy stat lines, picking up 38 points and six assists. Former No. 2 overall pick by the Lakers, Lonzo Ball, had 27 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in his return to LA.

Chicago will be missing two starters in center Nikola Vucevic (health and safety protocols) and forward Patrick Williams (wrist). But the Bulls still have plenty of offense as DeRozan (26.9 PPG) and Zach LaVine (25.9 PPG) are the only pair of teammates averaging at least 25 points per game. Chicago also boasts a top-10 defensive unit spearheaded by Alex Caruso who ranks third in the league with 2.5 steals per game despite only starting two games.
