Shane Larkin: Inks deal in Turkey
Larkin confirmed Thursday that he would sign a one-year, $1.8 million contract with Anadolu Efes of the Turkish Basketball Super League, freelance reporter David Pick reports.
The 25-year-old, who suited up in 54 regular-season tilts for the Celtics last season and averaged 4.3 points, 1.8 assists, 1.7 rebounds in 14.4 minutes per game, likely had opportunities from NBA teams to compete for a role as a depth point guard. It's less likely, however, that any offers Larkin might have received contained much guaranteed money, prompting him to head overseas for greater financial security. If Larkin shows well during his time in Europe, he might be able to secure more favorable offers stateside next summer.

Celtics' Shane Larkin: Not available for Game 7
Larkin (shoulder) is feeling good, but he won't play Sunday against the Cavaliers, Scott Souza of The Providence Journal reports.
Larkin won't be available for the series finale as he continues to deal with a shoulder "sprain, partially torn ligament." Additionally, Larkin would be putting himself at risk to play in the NBA Finals should the Celtics beat the Cavaliers on Sunday, seeing as he could require an operation if he takes a significant hit on his left shoulder within the next six weeks. Despite this, he's been working in practice with coaches hitting him with pads in order to build up a pain tolerance so that he'll be able to play should Boston make it to the next round.

Celtics' Shane Larkin: Likely out for Game 6
Coach Brad Stevens said he does not expect Larkin (shoulder) to be available for Friday's Game 6 against Cleveland. "He's progressing," Stevens said, "but I don't think he'll be available for [Game 6] or for the next."
The reserve guard played key minutes off the bench in the first two rounds of the playoffs, but he's been nursing a sprained left shoulder, and Friday will mark his seventh consecutive absence. Given Stevens' quote, it seems unlikely that Larkin would be available for Sunday's Game 7 (if necessary), but he could return for the NBA Finals, should the Celtics close out the Cavs.

As expected, Larkin won't participate in Wednesday's tilt and remains doubtful to return during the series. That said, his next chance to take the floor will arrive Friday, when the team travels back to Cleveland for Game 6.

Larkin last dressed for the Celtics in Game 4 against the 76ers, logging just two minutes before suffering the shoulder injury. At last check, he has yet to take contact, furthering the notion that his return may not be a swift one. It's likely best to consider him out indefinitely until reports begin to suggest otherwise, leaving Terry Rozier and Marcus Smart to man the point for Boston.

Celtics' Shane Larkin: Yet to take contact
Larkin (shoulder) has yet to take contact in practice and is still dealing with some discomfort, Brian Robb of the Boston Sports Journal reports.
In addition to the final game of the semifinals, Larkin has now missed back-to-back contests against the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals as he continues to work his way back from a shoulder injury. The fact that the shoulder is still giving him pain doesn't bode well for a speedy return and unless he's cleared for contact in the next couple of games, Larkin should be considered doubtful for Game 3 on Saturday. Look for official confirmation on his availability to be released on game day, but at this point, there appears to be a decent chance Larkin misses a couple more outings.

Larkin (shoulder) has been ruled out for Games 1 and 2 and is unlikely to appear in the series against the Cavaliers, Jay King of MassLive.com reports.
As expected, Larkin probably won't suit up until late in the Eastern Conference Finals, if at all, as he continues to nurse a left shoulder sprain. So, Marcus Smart will probably see significant minutes at backup point guard behind starter Terry Rozier.

Celtics' Shane Larkin: Celtics hoping he can return this series
Celtics GM Danny Ainge stated Thursday that Larkin (shoulder) would likely be unavailable until late in the Eastern Conference Finals, Ben Rohrbach of Yahoo Sports reports.
This all but certainly rules out Larkin for the first two games of the series, which are set to take place Sunday and Tuesday. Ainge's statements fall right in line with those of head coach Brad Stevens on Wednesday, when he said Larkin would be out for the foreseeable future. If anything, Ainge may be a little more optimistic, but the Celtics will have to take the Cavaliers into deep waters to see Larkin's prospective availability come to fruition. The veteran guard had been a steady rotation player through the first ten games of the postseason, averaging 4.1 points and 2.0 assists across 15.2 minutes.

Celtics' Shane Larkin: Likely out indefinitely
Celtics head coach Brad Stevens relayed Wednesday that Larkin (shoulder), who was ruled out for Game 5 against the 76ers, likely won't be available for the foreseeable future.
Though Stevens suggested tests on Larkin's sprained left shoulder revealed that surgery likely won't be necessary, the point guard is "very, very sore." With those comments in mind, Larkin will likely need to practice without too much discomfort before the Celtics consider reintegrating him into the rotation. That seems unlikely to happen for the duration of the Celtics' series with the 76ers, and Larkin probably won't be ready to go for the Eastern Conference Finals matchup with the Cavaliers either, should Boston advance. A clearer timetable for Larkin should emerge in the days to follow, but it looks like Marcus Smart will step in as the primary backup at point guard behind Terry Rozier until further notice.

Celtics' Shane Larkin: Unavailable for Game 5
Larkin (shoulder) was ruled out Wednesday for the Celtics' Game 5 tilt with the 76ers.
Larkin was diagnosed with a left shoulder sprain after departing early in Game 4 and will need at least a couple days to get over the issue. With Kyrie Irving (knee) shut down for the season, the Celtics can ill afford more personnel losses at point guard, especially with head coach Brad Stevens preferring to use the bruising Marcus Smart in more of an off-the-ball role. With Larkin unavailable, Smart will now likely serve as the top backup point guard Wednesday behind starter Terry Rozier, who could even see slightly more playing time despite averaging 39.0 minutes through the first four games of the series.

Larkin (shoulder) didn't return to Monday's Game 4 and is set to have additional tests performed Tuesday, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
Larkin was forced from Monday's contest after just two minutes and despite being questionable to return, he never came back to the bench. He'll now go in for additional tests Tuesday, which should give us a better indication on whether or not Larkin will be ready for Game 5 on Wednesday. Tentatively consider him questionable and another update should be provided in the next 24 hours or so.

Celtics' Shane Larkin: Leaves Game 4 with shoulder injury
Larkin left Monday's Game 4 in the first quarter with a left shoulder injury and is questionable to return, Chris Forsberg of ESPN reports.
The fact that Larkin hasn't been ruled out for the rest of the contest entirely is somewhat encouraging that the injury isn't overly serious. That said, it's still a toss-up for whether or not Larkin ultimately gets back in the game, so keep an eye out for another update in the near future. Larkin played just two minutes before heading to the locker room.
