On the night the Green Bay Packers retired Brett Favre's number, with Bart Starr also in the house, current Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made NFL history.

Against the Bears on Thursday night, Rodgers connected with Eddie Lacy for a 25-yard touchdown midway through the first quarter, giving his team a 7-0 lead. Though Lacy nearly ruined the touchdown by celebrating before he crossed the goal line, the call stood after a review.

With that touchdown, Rodgers broke an NFL record previously held by Dan Marino. Rodgers reached 250 passing touchdowns faster than any other quarterback ever. He did it in seven fewer games than Marino.

And here's a look at the record-breaking touchdown.

Marino fans can R-E-L-A-X, though, because Rodgers still has a ways to go before he passes Marino on the list that really matters. In Marino's career, he threw 420 touchdowns -- good enough for third all-time (for now, with Tom Brady at 417 and Drew Brees at 416 entering this week).

Rodgers, on the other hand, is 20th on that list. But as long as he stays healthy, he'll continue his climb up the leaderboard.
