Sourdough Sam got hooked up with some new Levi's.

More NFL offseason: League minicamp dates | Latest news, notes

Wednesday was a pretty big day for the 49ers, with upgrades flying everywhere. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick scored a new $126 million deal. Sourdough Sam, the 49ers mascot, didn't get that hooked up, but the team did throw him a bone and fit him with a new pair of Levi's jeans.

His pants are actually more expensive if you think about it; Levi's and the 49ers inked a 20-year, $220 million stadium-name deal ahead of the 49ers new home opening in 2014.

And for whatever reason, the images of a crazy old gold prospector shopping for pants to replace the ones he's been wearing for 60 years (below) and then putting out the vibe (above) managed to crack me up.

Your move, Jim Harbaugh
