Andre Brown must have really liked what he saw in Houston because after visiting with the team on Monday, Brown decided to stick around and sign a contract. The former Giants running back agreed to a one-year deal with the Texans that will pay him $645,000, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The Texans have been in need of a running back since mid-March when Ben Tate signed with Cleveland. Tate was the team's leading rusher in 2013 and started a career-high seven games after Arian Foster was placed on IR with a back injury in November.
Brown may not be as productive as Tate, but he's shown the ability to produce when he's healthy. The 27-year-old missed the first eight games of the 2013 season with a fractured leg, but he was able to return in November and ended up being the leading rusher for the Giants in 2013 with 492 yards.
The bad news here for the Texans though is that they now have two running backs in their backfield who combined to miss 16 games last season. The good news though is that it only cost $645,000 to land Brown, so the signing doesn't come with much risk for Houston.
