In the middle of Super Bowl 50, Marshawn Lynch literally and figuratively hung up his cleats and walked away from football. Even with Beast Mode retiring, no one's totally ruled out the idea of Marshawn coming back in 2016.

Friends, former teammates and various pundits all expect him to be tempted at the idea of coming back with the Seahawks or even playing with his hometown Raiders.

But in an exclusive interview with 60 Minutes Sports -- airing Tuesday, June 7 at 9 p.m. ET on Showtime -- Lynch confirmed to Jon Wertheim he is in fact finished playing football.

60 Minutes Sports spoke to both Lynch and his agent Doug Hendrickson. Hendrickson expects him to be finished but wouldn't rule it out completely.

"I think if you could write the perfect story as far as the last year of his career if he played again, to come back to Oakland, it makes sense right? But the reality is he told them he's done," Hendrickson said. "Selfishly, yeah, I'd love for him to play another year or two, make sure he cements himself in the Hall of Fame.

"With Marshawn I'll never say never."

That's wide open right? So the question needed to be posed to Lynch, who very emphatically told Wertheim he is finished playing at the NFL level.

Name your camera, he'll look in it and he'll let you know it's OVER.

"I'm done," Lynch says. "I'm not playing football anymore."
