Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane, tied for the NHL's scoring lead entering play on Tuesday, had to leave their game against the Florida Panthers midway through the first period after an awkward fall into the boards following a cross-check by Alex Petrovic.

Here is a look at the play that resulted in Petrovic earning a two-minute minor for cross-checking, leading to a Jonathan Toews goal.

Pretty much everything that happens for Chicago on Tuesday night is secondary until they find out the extent of Kane's injury as he has been their most dangerous offensive player this season.

He entered the game with 27 goals and 37 assists, tying him with Washington Capitals forward Nicklas Backstrom for the NHL's scoring lead with 64 points.
