Peter Laviolette had a rough first period behind the Nashville Predators bench on Tuesday night.

Not only was his team down, 2-0, thanks to a pair of power play goals by the Winnipeg Jets, but late in the period he suffered a cut just above his right eye after he was struck by a puck that deflected out of play.

As you can, it didn't look to be too terribly gruesome, and he didn't even leave the bench, but it's still probably going to require a little bit of repair work between periods.

He's also probably lucky that it wasn't worse or catch him in the eye.

And don't worry about that facial expression, he's not angry that he got hit by a puck, that's what he always looks like during games.
