Thursday was a wild day of college football. There was Virginia Tech's epic comeback (at the sake of Arkansas' epic collapse), a tremendous overtime game between South Florida and South Carolina, and an absolute blowout of Colorado by a fun-to-watch Oklahoma State squad.

Former USC running back Reggie Bush was certainly watching, and he just happened to notice Cowboys quarterback Mason Rudolph convert a first down with some help from his teamamtes.

Of course, Bush would know all about this with the most famous quarterback push when he helped shove Matt Leinart into the end zone in what is now known as the "Bush Push" -- the game-winning play from the 2005 game between USC and Notre Dame.

At the time, such a move was illegal in college football, but the Trojans were not called for a penalty. It was legalized in college football, like it had been in the NFL, in 2013.

Leinart noticed Bush's tweet and responded with a simple emoji.

Former Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn, who saw his team's lead evaporate on that play, responded with an emoji of his own.

I'm sure Quinn had more thoughts than a thumbs down at the time, but it's probably gotten better with each passing year.

And in case you don't remember ... here's the play in all its glory.
