Allen has been removed as the Angels' closer, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Manager Brad Ausmus was not specific in who would replace Allen. He said that they'd use "some other guys" while trying to fix Allen. Allen has a 5.40 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 9:7 K:BB over 8.1 innings.
