The Astros selected Corona to their 40-man roster Tuesday.
Corona, 23, slashed .251/.331/.458 with 22 home runs and 32 stolen bases over 117 games this past season between High-A Asheville and Double-A Corpus Christi. He is now protected from the upcoming Rule 5 Draft.
