Lake played in 13 first-half games for this season, going 5-for-19 (.263) with a home run and two doubles while posting a .391 OBP.

The 26-year-old outfielder lost the battle in spring training with Ezequiel Carrera to be the team's fourth outfielder, but was called up on June 24 to fill in as a reserve with Jose Bautista (toe) on the shelf. Lake has offered quality service to the big league team but not to fantasy owners. With Carrera in the midst of a career year, Lake has no chance of passing him on the depth chart any time soon. In all likelihood, Lake will be headed back to Triple-A Buffalo once Bautista returns in the coming weeks.
