De La Cruz was reassigned to minor-league camp Tuesday, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's David O'Brien reports.
He was pretty mediocre (4.88 ERA, 37 strikeouts) in 62.2 innings in the big leagues last year, splitting time between the rotation and the bullpen. While his numbers were better in relief (4.32 ERA, 13 strikeouts in 16.2 innings), he still leaves a lot to be desired. He should spend most of 2017 providing organizational depth at Triple-A.
