Cain isn't starting Friday against the Nationals.
Cain will be out of the lineup for the third time in the last five games as Tyrone Taylor starts in center field and bats eighth. Since the start of May, Cain has hit .205 with a double, six runs, an RBI and 14 strikeouts over 11 games.
