Cubs' Keegan Thompson: Bound for alternate training site

Thompson was added to the Cubs' 60-man roster Tuesday, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Thompson was left off the team's initial 60-man roster, but he'll head to the alternate training site in South Bend after he was added to the roster Tuesday. The right-hander missed the majority of the 2019 season with an undisclosed injury, but he logged a 3.61 ERA and a 115:34 K:BB over 129.2 innings in the minors during the 2018 season.
