Andriese, who fired a scoreless seventh inning in an extra-innings loss to the Royals on Friday, has logged two perfect frames during which he's recorded two strikeouts since joining the Mariners on Aug. 22.

The veteran's pair of outings have unfolded the last two nights, with Andriese shining in each. The right-hander brings plenty of starting and long-relief experience to the table, which could make him a serviceable asset for manager Scott Servais in the Mariners' playoff push down the stretch.
