The Marlins selected Emanuel's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Vladimir Gutierrez was designated for assignment in a corresponding move as the Marlins swap out long relievers from the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster. Emanuel last appeared in the majors in 2021, when he posted a 2.55 ERA over 10 relief appearances with the Astros.
