Andriese cleared waivers and elected free agency Thursday.
Andriese was designated for assignment by the Mariners on Tuesday, and he'll hit free agency just before the end of the regular season. The right-hander made 34 appearances with Boston and Seattle this season and recorded a 5.21 ERA and 1.61 WHIP in 48.1 innings.
